You review and approve photographs of the finished piece before it ships.

Bespoke silk top sheitel with a knot-free layered double-silk crown and natural parting

Full Custom

Silk Top Commission

Built from your measurements with a layered double-silk crown: knots are concealed beneath the silk panel, so the parting reads like scalp. Hair origin, density, length and color are all yours to specify.

Hairline Focus

Lace Front Commission

A Swiss lace or HD lace front attached to your choice of crown construction. The transparent lace melts into the skin, which suits styles worn away from the face.

Best of Both

Hybrid Commission

A silk top crown paired with an HD lace front, for buyers who want scalp realism at the parting and an invisible hairline in the same piece.

Recurring Production

Wholesale Program

For sheitel stores that commission regularly: consistent specifications, private-label options, and a dedicated account contact for repeat orders.

Every detail, your decision

A bespoke commission puts every specification in your hands. This is what you control when you order a bespoke sheitel.

01

Cap Construction

Silk top, Swiss lace, HD lace, or a hybrid of them. Each commission can mix materials zone by zone — for example, a silk crown with a lace front perimeter, reinforced edges, or adjustable straps. We advise on the combination that matches how the piece will be worn.

02

Hair Origin

Premium virgin human hair, Slavic hair, or Mongolian hair, sourced for your order rather than pulled from stock. Every batch is cuticle-aligned, checked for consistent thickness, and inspected under magnification before it enters production. Single-donor options are available.

03

Measurements

Your cap is built from six measurements: circumference, front to nape, ear to ear across the forehead, ear to ear over the top, temple to temple around the back, and nape width. We supply a measurement guide, and sheitel stores can book a video fitting consultation.

04

Density and Length

Density from light (100%) to heavy (150%), with every gradation between, and lengths from 10 to 28 inches measured crown to tips. Layered styles can specify different lengths for the crown, sides and back.

05

Color and Styling

More than 40 stock colors, or a custom blend: highlights, lowlights, balayage, ombré and rooted effects. For complex color work we can send a hair sample for your approval before production begins. Pieces can ship styled or unstyled for your own sheitel macher.

06

Production Timeline

Standard production runs 8 to 12 weeks and covers sourcing, cap construction, 40 to 80 hours of hand-tying, styling, and a four-point inspection. Priority scheduling is available for an additional fee.

A wig made only for you

A bespoke piece is fundamentally different from a stock wig. Here is what the commission buys you.

01 — Hand Ventilation

40 to 80 hours of hand-tying

Depending on density and cap complexity, a single piece takes 40 to 80 hours of skilled ventilation work. Hairline strands are tied at a flatter angle, crown hair follows a natural swirl, and nape hair hangs the way it grows. This is patient construction, not assembly-line output.

02 — Color Matching

Photo approval before shipping

Before a piece ships we photograph it from every angle that matters: hairline, parting, color in daylight, and full styling. You approve the photos or request adjustments, and only then does the piece leave the workshop. This one step removes the most common failure in custom wig orders — receiving something that does not match what was agreed.

03

Hair sourced for your commission

We do not pull hair from stock. Each order is sourced to your texture and color requirements, then hand-sorted and verified for cuticle alignment under magnification. Single-donor commissions are matched to one donor, so texture and color behave consistently across the whole piece.

04

A cap built from your measurements

Stock caps are trimmed to approximate a head; a bespoke cap is built from six measurements of the head that will actually wear it. Density, knot direction and parting placement are planned for that cap, so the finished piece sits flush without pressure points or gaps.

05

A transparent process, with updates

You hear from us at every milestone: sourcing confirmed, cap construction started, hand-tying underway, styling, and final inspection. Your dedicated contact replies within one business day, in clear English, through the whole production window.

From consultation to your door

Every bespoke commission follows the same five steps. Here is exactly what happens after you submit your specifications.

1

Consultation and specifications

We collect your six measurements, hair preferences, cap construction choice, styling requirements and any inspiration photos. Sheitel stores can hold this consultation by video call.

2

Hair sourcing and selection

Hair is selected for your order from verified donors, hand-sorted by length, color and texture, and checked under magnification. Single-donor orders are matched in one batch.

3

Custom cap construction

The cap is built from scratch on your measurements with your chosen materials, with ear tabs, adjustable straps and reinforced edges positioned for your head.

4

Hand-tying and ventilation

Each strand is knotted onto the cap by hand — 40 to 80 hours of work depending on density — with natural growth patterns followed zone by zone.

5

Inspection and photo approval

The finished piece passes a four-point inspection, is photographed in daylight, and ships only after you approve the photos.

Built for buyers who specify

Sheitel Stores

Offer what stock cannot

Give clients a piece built to one head and one spec sheet. Our sourcing documentation and rabbinical supervision support the questions Orthodox clients ask, and repeat orders keep specifications consistent across seasons.

Sheitel Machers

Premium bases for your artistry

Commission the base and finish it yourself. Specify construction, hair origin, density and length, and take delivery unstyled so you control the cut, color and finish your reputation depends on.

Individual Clients

A piece that is uniquely yours

If a stock wig has ever fit badly, colored oddly or worn thin in the wrong places, a bespoke commission solves all three at once: your head, your hair, your color, approved by photo before it ships.

What goes into a LEV bespoke sheitel

01

Master wig makers

Every bespoke piece is tied by makers with a minimum of eight years of experience across silk top, Swiss lace, HD lace and hybrid constructions. Many have worked in our Qingdao workshop since LEV was founded over a decade ago.

02

Verified sourcing

We buy through long-term donor and collector relationships in Eastern Europe and Mongolia, document each batch, and reject hair that has been acid-washed or silicone-coated. Single-donor commissions keep full traceability from donor to finished piece.

03

Four-point inspection

Knot security is checked under 10x magnification, density is measured across five zones, color is verified under D65 daylight, and construction integrity is assessed edge to edge. Only pieces that pass all four checkpoints move to photo approval.

Bespoke commission FAQ

A standard commission takes 8 to 12 weeks from the day we receive your completed measurement form and deposit. That covers hair sourcing, cap construction, hand-tying, styling and quality inspection. Complex commissions, such as single-donor hair or hybrid cap construction, can take up to 13 weeks. Priority scheduling is available for an additional fee.

We work with three primary origins: premium virgin human hair with natural movement and a soft texture, Slavic hair prized for its fine denier and naturally light shades, and Mongolian hair that offers more body and volume. All hair is ethically sourced from verified donors, cuticle-aligned, and never chemically processed. Single-donor options are available for consistent texture and color.

Silk top construction conceals every knot beneath a layered silk panel, so the parting reads like scalp. Swiss lace is a durable foundation with a natural-looking hairline suited to everyday wear. HD lace is thinner and more transparent than Swiss lace, creating an almost invisible hairline. On a bespoke commission we can combine them — for example, a silk top crown with an HD lace front.

Yes. Before any piece ships, we photograph it from multiple angles, including close-ups of the hairline, parting, color and overall styling. You review the photos and either approve the piece for shipping or request adjustments. Nothing leaves the workshop until you have approved it.

A kosher sheitel must use hair from sources permissible under Jewish law, and production should be overseen by a qualified rabbinical authority. LEV Wigs produces under continuous rabbinical supervision in its Qingdao workshop and keeps documentation tracing each batch of hair to its source, so sheitel stores can answer community questions with records rather than reassurance.
