We'll help you navigate the insurance process, provide all necessary documentation, and work directly with your insurance company when possible. Even if your insurance doesn't cover the full cost, many policies cover a significant portion, and the remaining balance may be tax-deductible as a medical expense.

We recommend getting your wig before you start chemotherapy treatment if possible. This allows us to match your natural hair color, texture, and style while you still have hair, creating the most natural result. It also gives you time to get comfortable wearing and styling your wig before hair loss begins.

However, we can create beautiful, natural-looking medical wigs at any stage of hair loss. If you've already started treatment or experienced hair loss, we'll work with photos, family input, or your preferences to create the perfect look for you.

Caring for your medical wig is simpler than you might think. We'll provide complete care instructions and hands-on training during your fitting. Generally, you'll wash your wig every 10-14 days (or as needed) with gentle, sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner, allow it to air dry on a wig stand, and style it with heat tools on low settings.

The medical-grade silicone base can be wiped clean daily with a damp cloth. We also offer professional cleaning and maintenance services if you prefer expert care. Many of our chemotherapy patients tell us their LEV wig is actually easier to manage than their natural hair was!

Absolutely! Because our medical wigs are made with 100% European human hair, you can treat them just like your own natural hair. Use curling irons, straighteners, and blow dryers (we recommend heat protectant spray and lower temperatures to extend the life of your wig). You can also have your wig professionally colored, highlighted, or cut to achieve your desired look.

We'll show you styling techniques during your fitting and are always available for styling questions.
